Chase’s Most Ridiculous Move Yet Has ‘General Hospital’ Fans Seeing Red
‘General Hospital’ fans are furious as Chase arrests Tracy for a crime she did not commit, all to defend manipulative ex-wife Willow. Will his loyalty cost him everything?
General Hospital’s Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) has been driving fans insane for months. The best husband on soaps has turned into the worst husband almost overnight. Last year, Chase was the support Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) needed when she revealed she had given a child up for adoption at age 15. This year, as he and Brook Lynn are ready to adopt a baby, Chase is ready to risk it all for his manipulative ex-wife.
Chase’s Chases Willow Into the Lake
In Chase’s mind, Congresswoman Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) can do no wrong. He is sure that she was wrongly accused of shooting her husband and that the jury made the right decision when it acquitted her. He even risked his career to go rogue and attempt to prove her innocence. That means the former detective is now a beat cop…who just made a pretty big arrest.
And that’s where the problem comes. Chase just arrested his wife’s grandmother because he thinks she pushed his ex into the lake. He happened upon Tracy trying to put Willow in her place, warning her to stay off her property, so Willow thought she’d put on a show and jump in. Chase jumped in behind her in case Willow had forgotten how to swim since the day before.
As Chase has gone to the bat for Willow over and over again while she tries to pull the wool over his eyes, fans have been outraged. But never so outraged as when Chase cuffed Tracy (Jane Elliot) for not pushing Willow into the lake.
ABC/Disney
“Chase gotta be joking right now… I know he is not about to arrest Tracy… Him and Willow deserve each other,” one X user said.
Other fans predict a downfall for Chase that he never saw coming, as he’s messed with the wrong grandmother, with one fan saying, “The biggest mistake ever. Chase and Willow about to find out the hard way Tracy Angelica Quartermaine is not the one. Her wrath will be their downfall.”
“Chase is RIDICULOUS to think Tracy pushed her in. Willow is about to find herself in trouble,” another fan concurred, convinced Willow is also on the brink of a fall.
Finally, Chase might want to find a new place to live because he needs to remember that’s Tracy’s house where he’s been hanging his hat. As one audience member put it: “If Chase sides with Willow over Tracy, Brooklyn and Chase need to move out of that house. I will not stand this disloyalty to Tracy from that clown specially not for Willow.”
