‘Days of our Lives’ Fans Predict the Next Back-From-the-Dead Plot
‘Days of Our Lives’ fans are convinced Sophia Choi is still alive after Kristen allegedly killed her. Could the teen return to wreak havoc in Salem?
No soap does back from the dead the way Days of our Lives does back from the dead. Thanks to Dr. Rolf (Richard Wharton), characters we have seen die on screen can be miraculously resurrected even years later, which is a new feat for daytime drama. However, that does not mean DAYS can’t do a traditional soap back-from-the-dead plot, the kind in which no body was ever found, so anything can happen. In May, Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) seemed to murder teenage Sophia Choi (Rachel Boyd), but did she?
DAYS Fans Don’t Think Sophia is Dead
It’s been more than two months since Sophia’s plot to fake her own death seemed to become a reality. The disturbed teen teamed up with an unhinged Kristen to kill Johnny (Carson Boatman) and then fake a suicide, but things didn’t quite go as planned. First, Johnny was saved in the nick of time, but Kristen also double-crossed Sophia. Instead of providing her with the funds for a new life in Europe, Kristen conked Sophia over the head with a rock and had her goons dump the girl into the river.
Kristen’s guilt got the better of her for a few episodes, in which Sophia haunted Kristen from beyond, but she is now living her life as if she didn’t allegedly kill a teenager. Meanwhile, Amy Choi (Shi Ne Nielson) is mourning her daughter while Holly is sure that Sophia is out there still, waiting to pounce and destroy her life. Is Holly correct? DAYS fans certainly seem to think so.
“My thoughts are she is likely coming back, but she is going to wreak havoc to everyone she can when she does. I feel sorry to whoever she tries to stick it to. And somehow I think Kristen might get it worse than her,” one Reddit user said.
When Holly received a gift last week, some fans were sure that the floral arrangement had to be from Sophia, as they were waiting for the other shoe to drop and still are. “When Holly got those flowers, I really thought they were going to be from Sophia. Especially bc one of the flowers was dead,” a fan wrote on X.
Finally, another fan even wrote their own return story for Sophia on Reddit: “Some remote fisherman in Salem found her downstream, nursed her back to health, and *shock twist not twist at all * she has amnesia from Kristen’s blow to the head with no idea who she is.”
