Felicity Huffman and William H. Macy Have Allegedly Been ‘Arguing’ Amid College Admissions Scandal

Trouble in paradise? Felicity Huffman and her husband, William H. Macy, are apparently going through a very tough time in their marriage after the 56-year-old actress was named among 50 wealthy people who were allegedly involved in a college admissions scandal.

“Felicity and Bill have been arguing,” a source recently revealed to Us Weekly. “The biggest concern is Felicity’s criminal case and how this is impacting their daughter.” According to court documents obtained by ABC News, Felicity allegedly gave her eldest daughter, Sofia, 18, a leg up in the college admissions process by making a “charitable contribution of $15,000” so she could cheat on her university entrance exam.

Even though the insider noted that Sofia “had no knowledge of the actions taken in regards to the improvement in her SAT test score,” her mom was arrested for her alleged involvement in the scheme on Tuesday, March 12.

Fuller House actress Lori Loughlin was another celebrity who was reportedly involved in the scandal and a source exclusively told Closer Weekly that both Lori and Felicity’s alleged actions to get their kids into college have left “both families are devastated.” The insider continued, “Getting arrested is the last thing they ever imagined. They’re trying to justify it as something any parent would do for their child, but there’s no denying they went way too far.”

“The shame of this has clearly rocked their world,” the source said, adding that the two Hollywood stars are set to be back in court later this month. “They’re hopeful they’ll avoid prison and only pay a fine, but it’s all up in the air,” the insider revealed. Many of Felicity and Lori’s Hollywood costars and colleagues have also revealed their feelings regarding the scandal.

“We don’t know the facts, but we can be extremely disturbed by the entitlement, the power and money that can take away from less privileged and that, to me, is disgraceful,” Felicity’s Desperate Housewives costar Nicollette Sheridan recently told Access Hollywood. “I think everybody should be talking about it. It’s a huge problem.”
