‘General Hospital’ Fans Choose The One Thing Missing From Jason Morgan’s Return

General Hospital’s Jason (Steve Burton) arrived back in Port Charles on Monday to reunite with his teenage son, Danny (Asher Antonyzyn). After a reunion that included an explanation for why he took the fall for a crime he didn’t commit, Jason promised Danny that being his dad was his top priority. However, fans haven’t forgotten that Jason’s dad duties should extend to someone else.

Where Is Jason’s Other Son?

It’s easy to forget that Jason has two young sons and not just one. While Jason and fans know where Jake (Hudson West) is, viewers want to know why he is not back on the canvas. Jake is said to be at art school in France, but hasn’t come home to visit his mom, Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst), in nearly two years. Before he left for school, Jake had resented Jason for not being around for much of his life, but Jason paid Jake’s tuition, which helped smooth things over between father and son.

GH is clearly writing Jason in a different direction, making him more devoted to his family than to Sonny (Maurice Benard), Carly (Laura Wright), and the mob. His determination to be a better father to Danny should come with a determination to establish a relationship with his older son, but so far the soap hasn’t hinted toward that plot line, much to the ire of fans.

“I do appreciate Jason and Danny finally having this conversation, even though I feel this conversation should have been had a year ago, but it’s better late than never,” one X user wrote. “I also think this is where Jake is needed because he’s had these feelings about Jason and Danny didn’t understand his point of view at the time.”

“It’s time for General Hospital to bring Jake home,” another fan concurred. “It feels as if Jason has only one son, especially with Danny and Rocco calling each other brothers all the time and Danny not mentioning Jake. It would be nice to see Jason get to have moments with both of his sons.”

While viewers have been intrigued by what they have seen so far, they also just want to see Jake. As one longtime viewer tweeted, “I watched #GH live today bc Jason’s back. I like that the new guy, Tristan (who is pretty) is connected to Jason and to the hospital. I’m intrigued by his storyline. But if they don’t mention Jake at some point this week I’ll riot.”
