A beloved star from the iconic 1978 movie Grease recently made a rare appearance that had fans swooning. Didi Conn, 75, played beauty school dropout Frenchy in the fan favorite movie, and her recent public appearance paid homage to her iconic character.
On July 23, Conn attended a performance of the London performance of Grease: The Immersive Movie Musical. Conn wore a pink jacket that was embroidered with her name, a nod to the jacket she and her fellow Pink Ladies wore in Grease.
According to E! News, Conn didn’t just attend the show as an audience member. Rather, she appeared on stage and the show’s performers danced and sang around her. Photos and video from the event show she was giddy over the fun experience.
Fans took to social media to gush over Conn, raving over how incredible the 75 year old looks today.
On Facebook, one fan wrote, “I wanna age that well. She looks exactly the same.”
Another added, “She still has that smile and twinkle in her eyes!!”

After the performance, Conn told BBC’s Woman’s Hour she got very emotional during the experience. “It was very moving to me,” she admitted.
Conn raved over the performers, stating that they were phenomenal. She felt confident that any one of them could successfully star on Broadway.
As for the movie’s staying power after nearly 50 years, Conn admitted she’s “Always amazed at how it’s been passed on from generation to generation. It does my heart such good.”
Conn, and her Grease character of Frenchy, hold a very special place i the hearts of the movie’s fans. They love her voice and her sweet demeanor, calling her delightful and a legend.
