Katie Holmes Is ‘So Happy to Finally Embrace’ Relationship With Jamie Foxx

How exciting! Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx made their 2019 Met Gala debut as a couple and a source close to the two recently dished that their private relationship — which dates all the way back to 2013 — has never been better.

“Katie and Jamie are officially a couple,” the insider exclusively reveals to Closer Weekly. “Katie was so happy to finally embrace her relationship with Jamie. It was a great feeling for Katie to be out in the open, not having to hide their years-long romance any longer. This is a great sign of things to come.”

The 40-year-old beauty walked solo down the red carpet at the annual event hosted by the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday, May 6, but she later met up with the Oscar-winning actor star inside. “The Met Gala was like their coming out party,” the source explains.  “Jamie even made it a point to match his shoes with Katie’s dress. They both had a blast — before, during and after the party.” Aww!

The Dawson’s Creek alum and the Ray star have given their fans quite the mixed signals regarding their relationship status over the years. However, the beloved Hollywood stars made it pretty obvious that they are an item at the annual Met Gala. Katie and Jamie looked happier than ever while cozying up for pics in front of the stunning flower wall inside the lavish event.

Things between Katie and Jamie began heating up after they were spotted out and about New York City a few times in recent months. In the past, the famous couple always tried their best to keep their romance out of the public eye. Because of all the PDA they’ve put out on display for us, a source told People in December 2018 that their “relationship seems so much more serious this year.”

The insider added, “Katie and Jamie keep having public dates, and although they try to not be photographed together, they are clearly not as concerned about keeping their relationship private.”
