Meghan Markle Reportedly Just Flew Commercial For Secret Trip To Visit BFF Jessica Mulroney
Royals — they’re just like us! You may think Meghan Markle has a busy schedule and a lot of rules being the newly-minted Duchess of Sussex. However, the brunette beauty apparently still has time to fit in girls’ trips!
According to ABC News, the 37-year-old recently took a round-trip commercial flight for a secret trip to visit her BFF Jessica Mulroney in Toronto sans Prince Harry.
“Meghan spent three days holed up at Jessica Mulroney and her husband Ben Mulroney’s home in Toronto,” royal contributor Omid Scobie shared on Good Morning America on Thursday, Aug. 30. “They spent their days catching up, cooking together and, of course, playing with Jessica’s children, who love their ‘Auntie Meg.'”
Scobie added, “There was one evening when Meghan and Jessica secretly headed out into the town to meet some of Meghan’s old, good friends.”
Jessica and Meghan have been friends for years and met while Meghan was the star of the USA series Suits. She’s a stylist and marketing consultant in Toronto, so it’s likely she helped Meghan pick out her memorable wedding dress from her May 19 nuptials.
The two are so close that Meghan even chose to have all three of Jessica’s kids in her wedding three months ago! While Jess and Ben sat front row at the event, her eight-year-old twin boys, Brian Gerald Alexander and John Benedict Dimitri, served as page boys (remember them holding her veil as she walked up the steps at St. George’s Chapel?!) and her daughter. Isabel Veronica, 5, was a bridesmaid at the special event.
It’s nice to see that even though Meghan is now a royal, she’s still maintaining the friendships she made before she was a princess!
