While some of your close friends may have decided to have their baby shower in their living room after a Sunday brunch, Meghan Markle chose to celebrate her first child by flying out to New York City and hanging out with her pals in quite the lavish (and super expensive!) Big Apple penthouse.
The Duchess of Sussex, 37, joined up with some of her famous friends including Amal Clooney, tennis star Serena Williams, and her former Suits costar Abigail Spencer, and had a grand old time at Manhattan’s The Mark Hotel for a two-day baby bash that reportedly cost about $200,000. But don’t worry, the former actress didn’t have to put down a single dollar as Serena, 37, reportedly took care of the party’s massive bill. Now that’s friendship!
The decked-out penthouse where Meghan celebrated Baby Sussex with her closest friends is said to be the largest hotel suite in America, in the most expensive hotel too, but that’s what you get when you’re a royal.
