It seems that Reese Witherspoon is making the first move to building back up her friendship with Nicole Kidman despite the ongoing feud between the two.
In honor of Nicole’s 50th birthday yesterday, Reese took to Instagram to give her Big Little Lies co-star a sweet shoutout. The photo shows the duo snuggled together in an adorable behind-the-scenes photo, which gives us hope that the alleged drama between the two is finally behind them.

Reese captioned the picture, “Wishing a big happy birthday to my dear friend, the one and only, mega-talented, #NicoleKidman!!! I hope you have a gorgeous day filled with laughter and love. Love you, lady!!” She also decorated the comment with emojis such as hearts, cake, and a crown.

Apparently, the two co-stars have been fighting since February over their new show Big Little Lies. Other than having “tense arguments” on the set, an insider previously told New Idea, “Reese is furious that Nicole hasn’t done more to support [the show during the Oscars].”
“Had Reese known that Nicole would put the show so far on the backburner, she would have cast some random,” the source continued.

But it looks like time has healed Reese’s wounds.
Reportedly, the birthday girl had a low-key celebration with her hubby, country singer Keith Urban and their two daughters, Sunday, 8 and Faith, 6, with a few close friends and family.

Nicole revealed to E! News before her big day that she already visited her mom but her sister came from Australia with her six children to celebrate.
“I don’t need any big parties; I just need my family around me. If I have my family around me I am happy.”
