Phil Collins has revealed he and Paul McCartney have finally buried the hatchet following a feud that stretched back more than two decades.
The Genesis legend, 75, confirmed that he and the Beatles icon, 84, recently cleared the air during a phone call after years of tension stemming from an awkward 2002 encounter.
Collins recalled the infamous moment during an appearance on Piers Morgan Uncensored on Saturday, October 3, explaining that it happened while the pair were rehearsing for Queen Elizabeth II‘s Golden Jubilee concert at Buckingham Palace.
“He probably didn’t mean it like it sounded, but he said, ‘He’s a big Beatle fan, is our little Phil,'” Collins recalled.

The comment immediately rubbed Collins the wrong way, with the musician admitting he thought, “You [expletive].”
However, Collins now acknowledges he may have overreacted. “I probably made more of it than he meant,” he told host Piers Morgan.
The disagreement later became public when Collins wrote about the encounter in his 2016 memoir, Not Dead Yet. McCartney subsequently emailed him about his comments, but Collins admitted he never responded.
Years passed before the pair finally got the chance to settle their differences.
Collins revealed McCartney called him a month or two ago after learning he was collecting memorabilia from fellow musicians for a King’s Trust charity auction.
During their conversation, McCartney brought up their long-running disagreement.
“I said, ‘I wish I’d never said it, Paul. I wish I’d never said it [in my book],'” Collins recalled, adding that McCartney responded, “I thought we were good, you know.”
Collins told Morgan, 61, that he apologized and the two finally put the matter behind them. “We kissed and made up,” he revealed.
