Pregnant Meghan Markle Tells Royal Fan She’s Craving a ‘Nice’ Yoga Session During Snowy Outing

While some people might crave hot cocoa or snuggling next to a fire during chilly weather, Meghan Markle just admitted that she’s currently yearning for a relaxing yoga session. The pregnant Duchess of Sussex made the cute confession while speaking with a crowd of royal fans waiting outside during her snowy outing in Bristol, England with husband Prince Harry on Friday, February 1.

“What kind of yoga do you do?” the 37-year-old asked a fellow yoga lover that she was chatting with in the group. “It works for the mind and body, it’s so key. A nice practice would be so fantastic right now.” Meghan has been known to practice yoga for a long time now. Not only is she is an advocate for the exercise, but her mom, Doria Ragland, has also played a major role in her love for yoga.

“Yoga is my thing,” Meghan once told Best Health Magazine in 2015. “My mom is a yoga instructor, and I started doing mommy-and-me yoga with her when I was 7.” Meg admitted that it took a while for her to grow fond of the practice. “I was very resistant as a kid,” she continued. “But she said, ‘Flower, you will find your practice — just give it time.’ In college, I started doing it more regularly.”

The former Suits actress’ love for yoga has even reportedly rubbed off on Harry now that they’re married. The Daily Mail recently revealed that Harry, 34, has been doing a daddy detox ahead of Baby Sussex’s spring arrival — and it includes doing yoga! His new lifestyle also apparently involves no partying, drinking or smoking and instead includes eating clean and meditation.

According to Harry’s friend, his wife’s love for yoga has made a positive impact on his well-being. “It has brought calmness to his life,” the pal recently revealed to Us Weekly, adding, “Meghan has kept up her own routine during her pregnancy and many experts say gentle stretching is highly beneficial for babies, too.”

The Duke’s buddy also added that “the new Prince or Princess will be the first royal baby to be skilled in yoga,” which wouldn’t be surprising considering the couple’s new home in Windsor is reportedly being renovated to include a yoga studio. That sounds perfect for mom and baby — and now dad — yoga sessions!
