Being a Mom Is Rosie O’Donnell’s Biggest Joy! See the Cutest Photos With Her 5 Kids

A proud mama! Rosie O’Donnell has given her five kids the world. The legendary comedian often showcases her love for her children on social media by posting the cutest family photos of Parker, Chelsea, Blake, Vivienne and Dakota.

Rosie first experienced motherhood when she adopted her eldest son, Parker, in 1995. The Emmy-winning actress welcomed her first child alongside her then-girlfriend Kelli Carpenter. The former couple later welcomed daughter Chelsea in 1997, followed by Blake in 1999.

Expanding their brood for the fourth time, Rosie and Kelli’s daughter Vivienne was born via artificial insemination. Nearly a decade after starting their family, the A League of Their Own actress tied the knot in 2004. However, their marriage didn’t last as they called it quits later that year.

The View alum moved on from the unexpected split when she met Michelle Rounds in 2012. Rosie and the Florida-based consultant were married that June, and later became the parents of their daughter Dakota. The exes adopted the star’s fifth in 2013, but they ended their marriage two years later in 2015. Tragically, Michelle died by suicide in 2017.

Though Rosie has been raising her kiddos as a single mother since her divorces, she takes so much pride in being there for her beloved children. “I know I’m a really good mother. I know it. I’m a really good mother,” she once gushed to Diane Sawyer.

In addition to being a doting mother, the Flintstones star is a devoted grandma to Chelsea’s baby girl, Skylar Rose. Rosie proudly embraced the title of grandmother when her daughter gave birth to her little bundle of joy in December 2018.

“It was something really beautiful,” she said during an appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers, sweetly recalling Skylar’s arrival. “It’s very trite, but it’s what everyone says — when you’re a grandparent, it’s like [having] a baby times a million. And that’s what it felt like.”

Speaking exclusively with Closer in October 2018, the former Rosie O’Donnell Show host offered an idea of exactly how much her role as a grandmother means. “Oh wow, just to see that little girl with my little girl’s face is pretty overwhelming,” she marveled, adding, it “throws me back 22 years.”

Rosie announced that she became a grandmother of three in February 2022 when Chelsea and her boyfriend, Jacob, welcomed their third child. The comedian shared the exciting news in a TikTok video. 

“The baby’s name is Avery Lynn,” Rosie said in the video. “And Chelsea and Jake and Skylar and Riley and baby Avery are all doing fine. Just call me ‘Nana 3’ — three grandkids. I’m a nana. I love it.”
