Many Dancing with the Stars fans were extremely disappointed to learn that professional dancer Sasha Farber would not compete this fall on season 35. Farber revealed it was not his choice to have the season off as a pro, indicating he would have joined season 35 of DWTS had he been asked.
New social media posts suggest that Farber will be involved in season 35 of Dancing with the Stars, after all, to some degree. From the looks of things, his involvement with the new season begins with the two-night premiere happening on September 15 and 16.
On September 12, Farber got his fans buzzing with a new Instagram post. The video was a fun clip showing Farber at the dance studio, with several of the season 35 pros and contestants “asking” what he was doing there. At the end, Farber dejectedly dropped his head, turned around, and walked out.
The video was clearly all in fun, but it definitely had fans asking questions. All Farber wrote in the caption was, “Tune in and find out!!!”
Dancing with the Stars fans and colleagues flooded the comment section with signs they were excited to learn more.
One fan wrote, “Hoping this means you have a special role throughout the season.”
Another added, “It better be something good and DWTS didn’t wrong you further. They had best be doing right by you! Or else.”

Farber also shared an Instagram video on September 11 showing him having fun dancing with Val Chmerkovskiy and Pasha Pashkov, and some fans on Reddit spotted Farber in the background of an Instagram Story of Hailey Bills‘ on September 4.
On September 14, a new post on the Dancing with the StarsInstagram page revealed one aspect of how Farber will be involved in season 35. The caption teased, “@sashafarber1 and @kaitlynbristowe are hanging out backstage, and they’re taking you with them!”
It continued, “Don’t miss the first TikTok Live TOMORROW for the premiere of #DWTS!”
Farber shared the news in an Instagram Story as well, and added, “But there’s more.”
How involved will Farber be with season 35 of Dancing with the Stars? Fans will have to wait for answers on that front, but they are all excited to see him smiling, dancing, and in the mix of things again ahead of the premiere, even if he’s not competing this time around.
