General Hospital’s Scout is about to grow up in July, but for now, she is the same 10-year-old living with her “stroke” victim father and crazed stepmother. And when we finally see her again on Wednesday, she won’t look like the Scout we are used to. Instead, Reagan Park will be playing the role Cossette Abinante has brought to life since 2022, as Abinante wasn’t available to tape, per Soap Opera Digest.
Scout Cain Temporarily Recast
When Park plays Scout on June 17, 2026, her stepmom, Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), is set to be blindsided. Currently, Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) has taken it upon herself to set Willow up to take the fall for being the other driver in Jordan‘s (Tanisha Harper) accident, hoping she will be arrested and Chase (Josh Swickard) will see his ex-wife for who she truly is, even if driving away from an accident Jordan caused isn’t on her list of transgressions. Will Scout be on hand to witness her stepmother be taken away in cuffs?
If so, that’s just one more blow for the young girl who lost her mother in 2024, only for her father to practically pretend she didn’t exist so he could become a corrupt congressman and marry his nephew’s ex-wife.
Will all of the troubles Scout had in her life cause her to be a rebellious teen? When Scout appears on screen in July, she will have just experienced a case of SORAS (Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrome), and will be played by 16-year-oldKayden Brenna Tokarski.
This isn’t the first time that GH has chosen to recast roles on the fly. Lindsay Hartley stepped in for Kelly Monaco multiple times, while Robert Adamson temporarily played Michael Corinthos and Guy Wilson played Lucky Spencer last year. There is no word on whether Abinante will be seen as Scout again before Tokarski becomes a teenage Scout in July.
