General Hospital’s Scout is about to become a victim of the affliction known as Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrome (SORAS), as the character will be joining the Port Charles teen scene this summer. Sixteen-year-old Kayden Breanna Tokarski is taking over the role from Cosette Abinante, who has been playing Scout since 2022, according to Soap Opera Digest.
‘General Hospital’s’ Scout Gets a Whole New Look
Scout hasn’t been seen much on-screen recently, but when she makes her return in July, Tokarski will be bringing Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Drew’s (Cameron Mathison) young daughter to life. The actress has quite a show business pedigree for her 16 years, having begun her acting career at the tender age of 10. Since then, she has amassed multiple credits, including playing a younger iteration of the Julia Roberts character in the Starz 2022 series Gaslit. Other roles include Becky in Roswell Delerium and Charlie in Love’s Fast Lane, per IMDb.
Tokarski has also appeared in 17 episodes of the TV series Dhar Man and has voiced Wednesday Adams in a Wendy’s commercial tie-in to the Netflix series Wednesday. She is also the Youth Ambassador for the Breaking the Chains Foundation, which helps those with mental health and body image struggles.
ABC/Disney
When Tokarski begins airing as Scout, the summer stories will be in full swing, but will Scout’s father finally be out of his wheelchair and healthy again? Scout has been through a lot over the last two years, as her mother died and her father became a smarmy politician who rarely gave her the time of day. She has been shuttled back and forth between her grandmother’s house and her dad’s house with crazy stepmom, Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), taking care of her.
Perhaps Scout’s difficult childhood will turn her into a rebellious Port Charles teen, but we will have to wait to July to see this older Scout’s Port Charles debut.
General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC and streams each weeknight on Hulu.
