Wendy Williams Might Be Moving to NYC to Focus on Herself After Numerous Health Scares

Time to change it up? Wendy Williams may be headed from New Jersey to New York City in hopes that her commute to work will be easier, especially after she recently delayed her return to hosting The Wendy Williams Show due to health concerns.

An insider tells Us Weekly that the 54-year-old is thinking of relocating to Manhattan, where her show is actually filmed, to not only focus on herself after being diagnosed with Graves’ disease and suffering a fractured shoulder but to also give more attention to her career. “There’s been talk of her moving,” the source says, “for her health and life to improve.”

While a move to NYC wouldn’t be too far away, the change may be just what the talk show host needs most. On January 18, Wendy’s family released a statement informing her fans the exact reason the return to her very popular daytime talk show would be put on hold for now. “Wendy will be under the strict supervision of her physicians and, as part of her care, there will be significant time spent in the hospital,” the message read. “Despite her strong desire to return, she is taking a necessary, extended break from her show to focus on her personal and physical wellbeing. Wendy thanks everyone in advance for their well-wishes and for respecting her and The Hunter Family’s privacy during this time.”

Debmar-Mercury, the company behind Wendy’s popular daytime program, also responded to the delay in the show’s return, saying, “We wholeheartedly support Wendy in this decision to take the time she needs and we will welcome her back with open arms the moment she is ready.”

Regardless of where Wendy lives, we certainly hope she can return to the small screen to grace us with her thoughts on all things entertainment sooner than soon. But for now, Nick Cannon will be stepping in to fill the TV personality’s shoes on February 4, 5 and 6. Get well soon, Wendy!
