Move aside, Brie Larson. There’s another great Hollywood actress who is officially joining the superhero world and her name is Angelina Jolie! That’s because, in 2020, the 44-year-old activist will make her debut in a Marvel film by appearing in The Eternals. Since her kids are big on comic book flicks, they can’t wait to see their mom portray Thena on the big screen.

“What’s really moving to me is that they want to see me strong, and so it’s less to see me in a film, but they’re just happy I will be strong and having fun,” Angelina gushed about her latest role to People.

In preparation to play Thena, Angelina has been doing “everything from swords to ballet” training and she admits her character is not someone who gives up easy. “She’s a warrior,” Angelina explained. “I’m going to have to work very hard to give the Marvel Cinematic Universe the Thena they deserve.”

Once the movie hits theaters, the Maleficent actress will most likely walk the red carpet with her kids — Maddox, 17; Pax, 15; Zahara, 14; Shiloh, 13; and her 11-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne — by her side. After all, they all mean the world to her.

“I see myself as a mom first. I’m so lucky to have that role in life,” she previously gushed to Parade. “The world can like me, hate me or fall apart around me and at least I wake up with my kids and I am happy.”

Can you imagine what Angelina’s life would have been like if she never become a mom?! She can’t.

“Like every parent, when you start your family, your life completely changes,” she told People in 2014. “And you completely live for someone else. I find that the most extraordinary thing. Your life is handed over to someone else. From that moment on, they come first in every choice you make. It’s the most wonderful thing.”

Angie’s kids aren’t alone here. We cannot wait to see what she brings to the big screen as a superhero!
