Carrie Underwood Begs Pregnancy Insomnia To ‘Go Bother Someone Else’ In Funny Tweet

Sorry, Carrie Underwood, but your insomnia wasn’t just a dream! As the pregnant singer gets closer to welcoming baby No. 2, she’s, apparently, experiencing a tough bout of pregnancy insomnia.

The country crooner appeared to be up late on Thursday, Dec. 20 as she tweeted about being awake around 4:30 a.m. “Dear pregnancy insomnia, please go bother someone else… like dads,” Carrie, 35, wrote. “Go bother dads. My husband sleeps so soundly and peacefully and I’ve been awake for two hours (so far). How is this fair? Imma lose my mind!”

We can’t imagine how stir-crazy Carrie got while restlessly lying awake as her hubby, Mike Fisher, slept like a baby. Luckily for the superstar mama, she came up with a good way to pass the time. “Worst part about insomnia = waking up this morning to see what I bought online while I was up,” Carrie confessed five hours after her first tweet. “I just realized I spent over $600 on makeup. #SeemedLikeAGoodIdeaAtTheTime #HelpMe #TakeAwayMyShoppingApps #ButThereWasASale”

Carrie’s fans were quick to suggest some life-saving techniques in order to help the country music star hit the hay. “Girl get you some melatonin… it’s safe. Us mommas need our sleep,” one person wrote on Twitter. “Have some warm milk. Put the phone away. Count backward from 1,000 by threes. 1000, 997, 994, etc.,” another said.

Perhaps Carrie is already training for the many sleepless nights she’ll be getting when her second little bundle of joy arrives. The “Before He Cheats” singer and her former professional NHL player hubby announced in August that they are expecting their second child. And while their lives are about to change as they grow their family by one, Carrie said her son Isaiah’s “world is about to get rocked,” too.

In fact, ahead of baby No. 2’s arrival, their three-year-old devised a plan for when his little brother gets here. “[Isaiah] told me recently that when the new baby comes that Daddy could have that baby and then he could be mine,” Carrie dished to People last month, explaining that her firstborn doesn’t fully understand how the parenting dynamic will change once the baby arrives.

Carrie continued to gush about Isaiah and the bond that the mother-son duo share. “He’s just the sweetest,” Carrie praised. “He’s just my guy. He cuddles and kisses on me. So I’m hoping this next one has some of that personality.” We do too, girl.
