‘The Wonder Years’ Mom Returns to Two Daytime Soaps This Fall
Alley Mills returns as Pam Douglas on ‘Bold and Beautiful’ this fall while reprising her ‘General Hospital’ role as Heather Webber starting November 5.
General Hospital fans have been waiting for Alley Mills to bring Heather Webber back to Port Charles since last month, but now comes news that she will be bringing another fan favorite back to another soap.
According to Soap Opera Digest, Mills will reprise her role as Pam Douglas on The Bold and the Beautiful this fall. She was on set filming scenes this week when Susan Flannery and Ian Buchanan visited the brand-new B&B studio. Flannery played Stephanie Forrester on the soap from its premiere in 1987 until 2012. Buchanan last appeared on the soap in 2017, per IMDb.
Mills was last seen on B&B in 2024 as Stephanie’s sister, who still works for the Forrester family, making her famous lemon bars. She joined the cast of GH in 2022, per IMDb, as longtime character Heather Webber, who had last been played by soap vet Robin Mattson. There’s no word on how Mills will fit into the B&B story, but she is sure to entertain as the flighty Pam, who was last involved with Dick Christie‘s Charlie.
Mills, who played Kevin Arnold’s mom, Norma, on ABC’s The Wonder Years, is expected to have a much heavier story on GH. Before leaving town two years ago, Heather had just been released from prison after a serial-killing spree in 2022. Her target at the time was Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali), whom she blamed for ruining her daughter Esme’s life. Now that Trina’s “biggest fan” is stalking her, fans believe Heather is the culprit.
Look for Mills to air on GH starting on November 5. No airdate has been announced for Mills’ B&B appearance.
