Deborra-Lee Furness Reveals What She Loves Most About ‘Hilarious’ Husband Hugh Jackman
Celebrity couple Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness were made for each other! If you ask Deborra-Lee, 62, what she loves the most about Hugh, 51, she’ll probably give you a very long list.
“He makes me laugh. He’s hilarious,” the Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole star recently revealed to Us Weekly. “Not as funny as me, but he’s good. I give him all his best material!”

The couple got married in 1996 and they share their two kids — Oscar Jackman, 19, and Ava Jackman, 14 — together. When Deborra-Lee’s birthday came around in November, her hubby made sure the world knew just how much he appreciates his wife.
“Some people shine a light that transfixes us … others shine a light that envelops and includes. The latter is my baby. My love, my wife. Happy birthday Deb!” the Greatest Showman star wrote via Instagram.
Hugh even gushed about Deborra-Lee at the 2018 Santa Barbara International Film Festival. He gave her a shout-out in his speech after he was honored with the Kirk Douglas Award for Excellence in Film.
“You believed in me when I couldn’t. You’ve loved me with a passion and a depth that I didn’t even know existed — and I don’t think I felt that I deserved,” he said. “You have pushed and encouraged me when I was scared to venture out. You have smiled me into smiling. You have sung me into singing. You have loved me into loving and like everything I do in my life, I share this with you. I love you.” Aww!
These two make a really great team! It’s hard to believe Deborra-Lee almost dumped her beau when they first started dating. “She kind of [broke up with me], a little bit. Early on, three weeks in. I managed to talk her out of it, thank God,” Hugh previously recalled on the podcast Aussies in Hollywood with Jenny Cooney.
Honestly, it would be hard to believe in love if these two ever break up!
