Demi Moore Is Enjoying Being Single ‘By Choice’ and Has No Interest in Dating Apps

After being married and divorced three times, Demi Moore is ready to enjoy the single life. The Ghost star recently opened up about her romantic life to Ellen DeGeneres and told the beloved TV host that she is not looking for any sort of relationship.

“[I’m single] by choice,” Demi, 56, admitted during her September 24 appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. The actress also told Ellen, 61, that she wouldn’t even be interested in trying out dating apps, specifically Raya — which is a private, membership-based dating service many celebrities use. “Oh, my God. No,” Demi hilariously replied.

The G.I. Jane star, however, gushed to Ellen about how she has been spending her free time — and it’s certainly not alone. “I have 7 dogs,” Demi explained while beaming with joy. “They’re rescues!” Aww!

The beloved star stopped by Ellen’s talk show to chat about her new memoir, Inside Out, which also dropped on Tuesday. In her tell-all book, Demi opened up about past relationships with ex-husbands Bruce Willis, who she was married to from 1987 to 2000, and Ashton Kutcher, who she divorced in 2013 after eight years of marriage.

“She was really struggling mentally and didn’t take care of herself,” a source recently revealed to People about Demi’s life following her breakup with Ashton in 2013. “She didn’t have the best relationship with her daughters either and her life was just chaos.”

The proud mom of daughters Rumer Willis, 31, Scout Willis, 28, and Tallulah Willis, 25 — all of whom she shares with Bruce — also told Ellen that she hopes her readers can relate to her struggles and be inspired to overcome the obstacles in their own lives.

“It is my story but maybe some part of that is yours too,” she said. “In my own journey what I realized is that what happened to me isn’t who I am. And the things I’ve done, whether I’ve been proud or have felt guilt and shame, are not who I am. They’re just things I’ve done.”

Demi also explained that while she’s gotten candid about her past life and relationships, she’s not nervous how people will react as she feels she told the story from her perspective only.

“I have no interest in blaming or villainizing anyone. The journey in the book is about overcoming and in a sense, this is my story,” the Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle star explained. “My point of view. If anyone else in the book, including my daughters, if they see things differently — and in some cases, they did; they had somethings they had sensitivities to, because it being my story, it didn’t always allow for the context of say things that created the pain they had of when they weren’t speaking to me — [but] for me to share, it was truly honest about what my experience was.”
