Helen Mirren Wows in a Bathing Suit While on Vacation

Clearly, age is just a number for Helen Mirren.

The 69-year-old actress was spotted swimming and sunning in a chic lilac bathing suit while on vacation on the island of Ischia on Thursday, July 16 — and she looked gorgeous!

Helen looked totally relaxed while visiting the island off the Italian coast with her husband, Taylor Hackford, 70. The couple — who married in 1997 — first arrived on Monday, July 13 to attend the Ischia Global Film and Music Festival this week.

The vacation is a well-deserved break for the star, who recently wrapped her Broadway run in The Audience — a performance for which she won a Tony Award — in late June.

Following the announcement that Helen, 69, was named the company's latest spokesmodel in October 2014, L'Oreal Paris said the actress embodies "the perfect balance of smart wit, assured beauty, and drive at any age."

When previously asked about the new role, the Oscar winner opened up about acting as the face of a beauty brand in her 60s. "I used to worry a lot more about my looks than I do now. I think the great advantage of getting older is that you let go of certain things," she said.
