Is Shemar Moore Married?

The Sonic the Hedgehog 3 actor is not currently married, but he is in a committed relationship with girlfriend Jesiree Dizon. The two first dated more than 15 years ago, but at the time, the Young and the Restless alum admittedly wasn’t ready to settle down.

They later rekindled their romance after the death of Shemar’s mother in 2020 and have been together ever since.

“Then God is good and I think Mom’s karma brought us back full circle. And here we are,” he said of their reconciliation.

Does Shemar Moore Have Kids?

Shemar welcomed one child with Jesiree. The pair were elated when their daughter, Frankie, came into the world in January 2023.

“I get the opportunity to be Daddy. And now it’s not about me anymore,” Shemar told Entertainment Tonight in February 2024 of how Frankie’s birth changed his life. “Now everything I do is for her … I got the most amazing, beautiful little lady … [and] she’s a happy lady.”

The California native said that his mom would be delighted to see him embracing fatherhood.

“This was my mother’s dream,” Shemar shared. “She was proud of me for my success and the things that I’ve done, but she always said to me, ‘The best of you will come out when you have a child.’ So now, I get that opportunity.”

“I’m sorry that they don’t coexist, but I know she’s up there, proud,” he continued.

Jesiree is also a mom to kids Charli and Kaiden from previous relationships.

And while he is happily in love with his partner, Shemar admitted that he wasn’t sure if marriage was in his future plans.

“I didn’t have a good role model of marriage in my life. Not my mother, not my father. Nobody close to me,” he told People in November 2024. “I struggle with ‘Who made that rule?’ I asked my mother one time. I’m like, ‘If people get married, then what’s this prenup thing? Oh, I love you. You’re the most amazing person in the world but sign this. So you don’t trust the person?'”

“To me, it’s just like tomorrow’s not guaranteed, but Jesiree, I’ll give you everything I got today and tomorrow,” he explained. “She is my partner. She is the mother of Frankie. Frankie has a dope-ass mama, and I’m going to try to be a dope-ass daddy. And we going to do that until God calls my name.”

In the past, Shemar was linked to Halle Berry and Toni Braxton. “I had a pretty good entrance into Hollywood,” he told People in November 2024, saying that he was known for being “the guy who dated Halle Berry [in 1997] and Toni Braxton [in 1995].”

“Lovely ladies would look at me and say, ‘You want to hang out?’ and I’m like, ‘Duh!’ Initially I became more popular as ‘that guy’ than I did as an actor. I had a good time being single,” he admitted. “I did it right — I was always honest.”
