Throughout the years, Jane Seymour starred in Hollywood hits like Live and Let Die and Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, but she also juggled the role of being a mom. Though the British-American actress has been awarded for her showbiz career with two Golden Globes and an Emmy, Jane should also be recognized for being one amazing mother to her four kids.

The Wedding Crashers actress first experienced motherhood in 1982 during her marriage with David Flynn. Jane and the British businessman, who married in 1981, welcomed their eldest child, Katherine Flynn, the following year. The former couple’s son, Sean Flynn, arrived three years later in 1985, but Jane and David called it quits in 1992.

Following their divorce, Jane tied the knot with fellow actor James Keach shortly after in 1993. The lovebirds expanded the Somewhere in Time star’s family when their twin sons, John Stacy Keach and Kristopher Steven Keach, arrived in 1995. The couple held off from having any more children, and after 23 years of marriage, they split in 2015.

Now that her children are all grown up, Jane has an easier time balancing her career and time with her family. The Among Angels author has always been open about her life as a mom and dished how she always keeps her kids on top of her priority list.

“The kids know I would choose family over any role and over anything in my life,” Jane told The Guardian in 2013. “I don’t know if I’m a great mum. I’m the best mum I know how to be. I think it’s all about listening to your children, communicating and caring enough to be involved in their life.”

The actress noted she’s always been “around” for her kids despite her busy schedule. “When they were young, anywhere I filmed, I took them with me. When they were younger, I had to make compromises, sometimes about not taking roles that may have taken me away from them too much,” she explained. “They know that I love what I do, and they also know we’re all about family, so they are all about family.”

In addition to her children, Jane is also a loving grandma. “I swore I wasn’t going to be one of those people who can’t stop talking about her grandchildren,” she gushed to Closer Weekly in February 2021. “But it’s amazing. You get suckered in the minute the first grandchild comes along. It almost seems more magical than when you had your own children!”
