They weren’t nominated during this year’s Academy Awards, but Javier Bardem and Penélope Cruz aren’t sweating it considering they’re both already Oscar-winning actors. In fact, while walking the red carpet solo ahead of the 91st annual awards show on Sunday, February 24, the Loving Pablo star revealed that he and his wife keep their Oscar trophies in a very special place — but he wouldn’t say exactly where!

“Where do we keep them? In a place that’s not so obvious, that we can see in the corner of our eye, so it’s not like, they are there,” the 49-year-old dished to People ahead of the 2019 Oscars. “And if you miss them, you go there in secret and you hold it, then you go back to the living room.”

In 2009, Penélope won her Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for Vicky Cristina Barcelona and was also nominated in 2007 and 2010. Just one year later in 2008, her hubby won took home the award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in No Country For Old Men. Javier was also nominated previously for Best Actor in 2001 and then again in 2011.

While discussing the awards show on the red carpet, the Everybody Knows star gushed about the quality of movies that are being created nowadays. “It means that movies unify us, and the quality of movies are beyond our language and nationality,” Javier said as he referenced the nominated Spanish language film Roma.

As for his longtime marriage with Penélope, it’s just as strong as when they first tied the knot in 2010. “We’ve grown up. Everything is different once you’re family. That is the priority, as it should be. We’re no exception from that. We work as hard as we can, but we recognize how hard we can work depends on each other’s needs,” Javier recently dished to Vulture.

He added, “When you’re younger — because we’ve worked together many times over the years, we met when I was 21 and she was 16 — you tend to confuse one for the other, or mix them. Now, I’m going to be 50 in a few weeks, and I don’t do this anymore. She’s the same way. You must always know when you’re working on a level of re-creation, outside of real life. Penélope and I, we have to protect the ‘us.'” Aww, they are so cute!
