King Charles Doesn’t Want ‘Any Trash-Talking’ From Prince William: ‘The Same Goes For’ Prince Harry

King Charles III wants everyone, including Prince William, to be on their best behavior amid Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s move back to the U.K., a source tells Closer.

“The last time the Sussexes were in town, they were treated pretty badly by a lot of people, and he says he won’t tolerate it this time around,” reveals the source. “He can’t force William to spend time with his brother, but he can come down pretty hard on him if he suspects he’s been spreading any sort of negativity.”

As Closer previously reported, William, 44, is unhappy with Charles’ efforts to reconcile with Harry, 41. So much so, Princess Kate has been urging her husband to rein in his anger before it causes lasting damage.

“For a long time, Charles went along with the narrative that [the Sussexes] were a pair of troublemakers and fully at fault for the whole mess,” the source admits. “But as time has gone by, he’s reconsidered his viewpoint. He’s now saying they weren’t the only ones to blame.”

“With the benefit of hindsight, he thinks everyone can learn lessons from the past experience and move forward with positivity,” continues the source. “If William decides to ignore his brother, that’s his right and Charles has reluctantly agreed … to let him do what he has to do.”

However, “he does not want to hear any trash-talking from him, or anyone else within the palace and the same goes for the Sussexes,” the source notes. “He’s pretty confident they’ve got that message loud and clear.”
