It was just yesterday that Michelle Obama revealed the advice she would give Meghan Markle on dealing with fame. And now, word on the street is that the Duchess of Sussex, 37, showed up to the former First Lady’s London Becoming book tour stop on Monday, Dec. 3 — and met Michelle backstage!

“Meghan attended privately,” a source confirmed to Us Weekly of the event where Michelle discussed her memoir with Nigerian novelist Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. There must have been something royal in the air (perhaps the Duchess) because, during the visit, the 54-year-old even opened up about how she and her hubby, Barack Obama, once met Queen Elizabeth.

“Barack is so incredibly fond of Her Majesty,” Michelle gushed. “I won’t go into his fangirling, but I think it’s because she reminds him of his grandmother.” Do you think Queen Elizabeth would be blushing if she heard this?

Since Michelle just dished some advice to the former Suits actress in an interview with Good Housekeeping, we wonder if Meghan went to the book signing to personally thank the author herself. “Like me, Meghan probably never dreamt that she’d have a life like this, and the pressure you feel — from yourself and from others — can sometimes feel like a lot,” Michelle told the magazine of life in the public eye. “So my biggest piece of advice would be to take some time and don’t be in a hurry to do anything.”

Michelle also got candid about adjusting to life in the White House. “I spent the first few months in the White House mainly worrying about my daughters, making sure they were off to a good start at school and making new friends before I launched into any more ambitious work,” the former FLOTUS admitted.

The mom-of-two also commented on how the responsibilities Meghan has as the Duchess of Sussex are similar to those she had when she became First Lady. “What I’d say is that there’s so much opportunity to do good with a platform like that — and I think Meghan can maximize her impact for others, as well her own happiness if she’s doing something that resonates with her personally,” Michelle noted. Can you imagine how amazing it would be if Michelle and Meghan teamed up and did some work together?
