It’s a universal truth that Barack Obama and Michelle Obama have managed to epitomize the phrase “relationship goals,” so it’s hardly a surprise that the former POTUS and FLOTUS celebrated Valentine’s Day in the most heartwarming way possible.

“Happy Valentine’s Day to my one and only, @BarackObama. To celebrate the occasion, I’m dedicating a little Valentine’s Day playlist to you!” Michelle wrote on her Instagram account, providing a link to a Spotify playlist appropriately titled “Forever Mine.” Even the link (bit.ly/obamavday, for your information) managed to be both thoughtful and cute. Sigh.

While we’re not normally ones to congratulate couples for any form of social media pronouncements (especially on Feb. 14, of all days), in a world that all too often seems devoid of genuine romance, Michelle’s sweet message to her husband of 25 years is just too heartening for us to brush it aside.

The playlist in question is 44 tracks long and features everything from old-time romantic classics like “Stand By Me” by Ben E. King and Elton John’s “Your Song” to more dancefloor-ready numbers like Calvin Harris and Rihanna’s “We Found Love,” and Whitney’s “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” to songs we genuinely didn’t think had appeared on Michelle’s cultural radar, but are very glad that they did (“Bleeding Love” by Leona Lewis is an underrated gem).

“At Last,” by Etta James, the song which the couple danced to at the 2009 Inauguration Ball, also makes an appearance (as does “Shape of You” by Ed Sheeran, but let’s gloss over that brief musical misfire.) Earlier in the day, the former President also paid tribute to his wife on social media, posting a holiday snap of the pair with the equally heartwarming caption, “Happy Valentine’s Day, @MichelleObama. You make every day and every place better.” True love does exist, after all.
