Morning TV host Hoda Kotb knows what works for her.
Every weekday, she dons her favorite sweats, puts on her headphones and heads to the gym to work out. “I’m a creature of habit,” she explains to ‘Closer,’ adding that the wisest people “know what makes them happy. I feel like that about the Stairmaster: I’ve found my thing.”

Hoda has “found her thing” outside of the gym as well. The TV journalist, who celebrated her 50th birthday in August, admits that she had to live a little before she found her personal keys to happiness in life and love.
“I think that when you’re older, you say what’s on your mind,” she says. “You’re not as much of a pleaser… I just feel really invigorated.”

The couple shares many of the same passions and interests. “We’re both very similar. We like to have fun, we like to exercise, we love music,” she confides.
Hoda’s enjoying each moment of her later years, which made turning 50 this summer sweet instead of scary. “Once you hit 50, you say, ‘I was sweating that? That was it?’ I just realized that it’s just another number and I feel good about it.”
