What has actress Roseanne Barr been up to the last few years, you ask? Well, the 64-year-old actress previously made a name for herself on the hit sitcom Roseanne, but ever since the show ended she's mostly been out of the Hollywood spotlight. However, now that the popular series is getting a reboot, everyone wants to know what has been keeping the star busy in the 20 years since the Roseanne finale episode aired.

Most recently, Roseanne was extremely vocal during the 2016 presidential election. She told IndieWire that standing by her political beliefs is something that is very important to her. "I have to look at myself in the mirror, and that’s all that really matters to me, my own conscience, and how I stand before the things that I believe in, and the ideas that I hold dear,” she said. “That’s all that matters. I have to have a clear conscience that I did everything that I could do while I was alive. I’m not one of those people who gives up, and I just can’t allow idiots to win.”

Since Roseanne ended, she's also acted in a variety of popular shows including Portlandia, The Office, and My Name Is Earl. She's been nominated for and even won an Emmy, Golden Globe, and People's Choice Award during her career. But, acting hasn't been the only thing keeping Roseanne's name in the headlines in recent years — she's also been at the center of her fair share of controversies!
In March 2017, she accused the country of Ireland of being anti-semitic and said, "Give Ireland back to the British too." Before that, in 2014, she found herself in trouble after tweeting out the address of George Zimmerman after he was acquitted for the murder of Trayvon Martin. She wrote, "At first I thought it was good to let people know that no one can hide anymore… If Zimmerman isn't arrested I'll retweet his address again — maybe go to his house myself."
Unfortunately, the actress has also had health problems since her show ended. She recently revealed that she's slowly losing her eyesight due to Macular degeneration and glaucoma. "[Losing your vision] is weird," she explained. "But there are other weird things. That one’s harsh, because I read a lot, and then I thought, ‘Well, I guess I could hire somebody to read for me and read to me.’ But I like words and I like looking. You do what you have to do. I just try and enjoy vision as much as possible — you know, living it up. My dad had it, too." We hope she keeps her spirits up and continues to work!
