What Happened to the Cast of ‘Twin Peaks’? See What Kyle MacLachlan, Sherilyn Fenn and More Are Up To
From April 8, 1990, to June 10, 1991, David Lynch’s surreal series revolved around one simple question: “Who killed Laura Palmer?”
Kyle MacLachlan
While FBI agent Dale Cooper enjoyed a damn fine cup of coffee, Kyle, 61, liked seeing his mug in a variety of projects — whether in pics such as Showgirls, Hamlet and Inside Out or on TV in Sex and the City, Desperate Housewives, How I Met Your Mother, Portlandia and, now, Carol’s Second Act.
Michael Ontkean
After Sheriff Harry S. Truman, Michael, 74, copped to a string of TV movies such as The Stepford Husbands but then retired to Hawaii following the pic The Descendants. “Twin Peaks still follows me around. There are some pretty intense and rabid ‘Peakies’ out there. [But] it’s all very friendly.”
Sheryl Lee
Following her turn as the deceased Laura Palmer, Sheryl, 52, has been alive and well — appearing on TV’s L.A. Doctors, One Tree Hill, Dirty Sexy Money and the Peaks revival with Kyle as well as in films à la Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me, Backbeat, Vampires, Winter’s Bone and Café Society.
Sherilyn Fenn
Though femme fatale Audrey Horne had a penchant for cherry stems, Sherilyn, 55, hasn’t been in the pits career-wise — starring in films such as Of Mice and Men and Boxing Helena, the TV movie Liz: The Elizabeth Taylor Story and the series Rude Awakening and, currently, S.W.A.T.
Lara Flynn Boyle
Subsequent to Laura’s best friend Donna Hayward, Lara, who turned 50 on March 24, became better known as Assistant DA Helen Gamble on The Practice … and one-time pal of Jack Nicholson‘s. But she’s also been in films from Wayne’s World to Happiness and Men in Black II.
