‘General Hospital’ fans suspect Cassius Faison may still be alive after a suspicious death reveal, with clues pointing to a possible WSB cover-up and Ryan Paevey return.

After a week of action and suspense that ended with a gunfight and a helicopter descent to reveal late-night comedian John Oliver, General Hospital fans were given sad news. Ryan Paevey‘s latest Port Charles character, Cassius Faison, didn’t make it. He died a hero trying to save Josslyn…but did he?

Clues That Cassius Didn’t Die

After John Oliver’s Z told Josslyn (Eden McCoy) that Cassius had died, something seemed off. When she asked about his condition, he seemed hesitant to tell her before a commercial break. Then, he quickly said that Cassius didn’t make it and Josslyn accepted that as fact, but was it?

When Cullum shot Cassius, he appeared to get him near the shoulder in a non-lethal spot, but Josslyn wouldn’t have noticed that because she had already been shot herself. It would have been very easy for Z to just tell Josslyn that Cassius was dead, knowing she’d never question it. Could the WSB have taken Cassius into hiding? Is Cesar Faison’s son valuable to them?

Liesl (Kathleen Gati) also didn’t seem like a mother who was grieving her son when she visited Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) in lockup. Could the WSB have let Liesl in on the truth, hence her calm and composed attitude?

The GH fandom certainly doesn’t believe that Cassius is dead and hopes that he is not. When “Nathan” revealed himself as Cassius, Nathan’s twin brother, he became an instant fan favorite. The bad guy with a heart of gold won over a fandom that hopes to see him once again.

“This is a soap opera and you can’t believe anything because we know how people disappear and then reappear later,” one fan said on X. “I say that the WSB took Cassius and hopefully he will return. I’m not giving up yet!

Another fan concurs, saying, “I don’t believe he’s dead. I think the WSB has him in hiding or something. Maybe that’s wishful thinking on my part cause I’m starting to like this character as long as he doesn’t stay full villain.”

Others noticed the Liesl aspect of the situation and her assertion that she still has another child, with one audience member tweeting, “I hope he’s not dead, dead,” I am hoping that Liesl knows he is alive and that is the child she was referring to that appreciates her when she walked out on Britt.”

GH has yet to confirm Paevey’s exit from the soap, so it is certainly possible we will see Cassius again one day.
