TV personality Carson Daly is saying goodbye to a big part of his career — his radio show. The 44-year-old has quit the gig after nearly eight years.
He took to social media on Thursday, July 27 to share the adorable reason why he decided to leave 97.1 AMP, which can be seen in the video below! His logic resulted in an overwhelming amount of responses from fans who totally understood where he’s coming from.
“You will never regret prioritizing your family. Great dad!” one user wrote. Another fan commented, “So sad. The morning ride to work and school will not be the same. We’ve truly enjoyed our mornings together. We’re going to miss you. Enjoy your beautiful family and best of luck in all you do.”

Carson added of his exit, “Super simple. It’s just time. Anybody who knows me knows I work and travel a ton. I felt it was time for something to give. I want to spend more time with my kids, my wife. Eat breakfast with them and drive them to school. Of all the jobs I have, being a father is far and away the most important to me. It’s time to put family first. Life is moving at warp speed.
