Cate Blanchett Reveals She’s Taking a Break From Acting to Care for Her Newly Adopted Daughter
Cate Blanchett is one hardworking mom!
The 46-year-old actress and her husband, Andrew Upton, adopted a baby girl named Edith in March — making that four kids for the happy couple!
Cate — who's remained mum on their family's newest addition thus far — recently opened up about caring for baby Edith and revealed she plans on putting her acting career on the back burner for some time to tend to the little one.

"I’m not planning on working much in 2016 either," the Carol star admitted during a recent interview with Harper's Bazaar. "Our three biological children have been extraordinary. It’s been wonderful watching them become a little brood."

Cate and her husband — who tied the knot in 1997 — are already parents to three older sons; Dashiell, 14, Roman, 11, and Ignatius, 7.
