It’s back! Indiana Jones 5 is set to begin filming within the next year or so, but Harrison Ford is not riding the procrastination train! In fact, the legendary actor is whipping himself into shape way ahead of time by “lifting heavy weights at his home and at the health club he goes to in LA,” a source told OK!.

With a recent onslaught of injuries, we hope Harrison isn’t overdoing it! In 2014, he broke his leg when he was crushed by a hydraulic door while filming Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Just a year later, he suffered lacerations to his face and a broken pelvis as a result of his vintage plane crashing into a golf course. “Harrison knows he really has his work cut out for him,” the source said. “But he’s not giving up and won’t stop pushing himself.”

It looks as though Harrison will have more time than originally planned to focus on his workout regime considering the filming for Indiana Jones 5 has been pushed back. Walt Disney Studios announced in July that Harrison’s return as Indiana Jones would be delayed from the original release date of July 10, 2020, to July 9, 2021.

Filming for the movie, which is directed by Steven Spielberg, was supposed to begin in April 2019 in the UK, but a source told Variety that production has been pushed back by months, if not a year. The supposed main reason for the delay is because key members of the creative team have yet to sign off on a finished script.

We imagine that Harrison is anxiously awaiting to film as he has already expressed how excited he is. While appearing on the Graham Norton Show in September 2017, the actor dished details about filming the upcoming movie. “I’m looking forward to working with Steven [Spielberg] again and to revisiting the character later in life,” he explained. “It will be fun and a good thing to do.”

We are so excited to watch the new adventures of the hunky daredevil archaeologist, but we’re going to have to wait a couple more years. At least that gives us time to binge-watch all the previous movies beforehand!
