Hoda Kotb Shares New Photos With Daughters Haley and Hope During Fishing Trip: ‘What a Thrill!’

Hoda Kotb is always so proud of her daughters’ achievements! The Today alum went fishing with kids Haley and Hope and couldn’t help but gush over the experience in an Instagram post.

“Wait… whaaaattt— each of my girls caught a fish today!! #wow threw em back— but what a thrill!” Hoda, 60, captioned a series of photos and videos from the fishing trip on her Instagram page on Monday, February 17.

In one photo, Hoda was seen putting bait on a fishing rod as Hope, 5, placed her hand on her shoulder. In the second photo, the newscaster sat beside her youngest daughter on the edge of the dock as their fishing poles were in the water.

A video also showed Hoda and Hope excitedly catching a catfish with one of their fishing poles. “Look what you caught, a catfish!” the person behind the camera excitedly said. Hoda, who was laughing, said that they were going to cut the fish off the hook and put it back into the water.

The last photo in the set showed Hoda smiling so bright with both Haley, 8, and Hope beside her with the dock and the water in the background.

“This is retirement!! Making memories!!” one person wrote in the comments section of the post.

“I’m so glad to see you and the girls having so much fun together. (The show will never be the same without you. Don’t tell anyone)” another person said.

“Living your best life !!!” another commenter wrote.

“One of the things that I like/love about Hoda is that she knows she is blessed. She has two beautiful daughters, when she decided to be a mother. (phrase that way because I don’t know how they were conceived and that’s irrelevant.) she’s has a successful career and she knows it,” another person said. “Right now it’s all about those two little girls. Whatever people or the media may say, I don’t care. She has a close knit family and friends that truly love her and right now her she is dedicated to giving them her all , so they can be successful women.”

Hoda officially left Today on January 10 after a tear-filled final episode. She’s given fans a few glimpses of her life on Instagram since leaving the show. The NBC personality bought a new home in the suburbs last year and seems to be enjoying every aspect of motherhood with her little ones.

The mom of two attended Super Bowl 2025 on February 9, where she reflected on life after the talk show.

“I woke up on the very first day after I had made my decision on that Monday at 4:15, and I have to tell you everything seemed right,” Hoda told Entertainment Tonight at the big game. “My little girl ran down the stairs, and she looked at me, and she goes, ‘You are here.’ I go, ‘Yes, I am.’ So, right decision, confirmed. Savannah and Craig are crushing it. Jenna and all of her friends, I don’t even know what friend I like better. But I’m enjoying watching them. It’s been beautiful.”
