Joanna Gaines Is Looking to Jennifer Lopez for Fitness Advice: ‘She Wants to Bulk Up a Bit’

Well that’s one way to bond. Jennifer Lopez has made it clear that she’s a huge fan of Joanna Gaines, but it is being reciprocated, as the TV personality is looking towards the performer for some fitness advice.

“Joanna really looks up to Jen and vice versa, so she was an obvious choice to devise a new diet and fitness plan,” a source exclusively tells Closer Weekly. “Jo’s thin but her arms and legs have no definition. She wants to bulk up a bit, look more tan and make better choices in her diet like weaning off the caffeine and Jen’s only too happy to help. Now when they get together, it always includes a gym workout or a hike.”

This isn’t the first time we have heard about this sweet friendship — the pair have also bonded over house renovations. “From an outsiders perspective, [the duo] seem [like] unlikely friends — J.Lo’s all about the glitz and glamor whereas Joanna’s a country girl who’d rather wear a flannel shirt than be [decked] out in designer clothes, but the pair have become incredibly close and enjoy hanging out together,” another insider exclusively told Closer.

“They both share a passion for business and making millions, and have more in common than everyone thinks. J.Lo’s a keen learner and is really interested in interior design so is getting tips from her new pal!” the source added.

The world learned of the World of Dance judge’s love for Joanna, 41, when she revealed on The Ellen DeGeneres Show what a fangirl she truly is. “It was, like, a Sunday and [my fiancé Alex Rodriguez], was like, ‘I want you to do a meeting,’” the hitmaker told the host, 61.

“He loves meetings. He loves to do meetings and I hate meetings. And he’s like, ‘I want you to do a meeting with me’ and I’m always, like, dragged into these meetings … And he opens up the FaceTime and it’s Joanna Gaines! And I was like, ‘Agh!’ … I totally fangirled out.”
