Josh Brolin’s Wife Kathryn Reveals They’re Expecting a 2nd Child Together: ‘The Brolins Are a Growin”

Such great news! Josh Brolin‘s wife, Kathryn Brolin, announced she and her hubby are expecting their second child together.

“The Brolin’s are a growin’!! Our little December babe is on the way …,” Kathryn, 32, captioned a photo of her kissing their 20-month-old daughter, Westlyn, on Tuesday, July 7. In the comments, Josh, 52, jokingly wrote, “Wow. That’s amazing! Congratula … wait … WHAT?!?!”

Aside from Westlyn, the Goonies star is also a proud dad to his two older kids, Trevor, 32, and Eden, 26, from his first marriage to Alice Adair. When Josh announced his youngest daughter’s birth in November 2018, he took to Instagram to share a cute clip of his little bundle of joy.

“Dearest ladies and gentlemen, I would like to introduce our little girl Westlyn Reign Brolin (Bean),” the doting dad wrote next to a video of his daughter sleeping. “Mama Kathryn was stellar during this miracle birth and Bean is a flawless gem through and through. We are blessed to the core and appreciate so much the love and support during this pregnancy from ALL who have partaken in our journey, directly and/or indirectly.”

Since baby Westlyn was born, she’s been spending a lot of time with her grandmother Barbra Streisand, who is married to Josh’s dad, James Brolin. “She spoils the baby completely,” an insider previously told Closer Weekly about the Funny Girl star, adding she’ll buy gifts “from all over the world” for her granddaughter. “It’s kind of out of control, but cute. She loves babies, and she treasures Westlyn.”

Although Barbra hasn’t publicly spoken out about being a grandmother again, Josh did say he’s “always excited about kids” because he loves his role as a dad. “I prefer being around kids. You know, they have the imagination. They’re fun,” the actor told reporters at the premiere of his film Sicario: Day of the Soldado. “I’ve heard other people be like, ‘Kid’s sitting there, he’s staring at nothing, he’s slobbering, like, what’s the point?’ The point is to sit there and slobber with him. That’s the point.”

Josh’s family must be so happy he’s bringing another child into the world!
