Kate Beckinsale Reaches Out to Ben Affleck for Comfort Following Her Divorce
Just days after Kate Beckinsale claimed she is "doing fine" following her recent divorce from Len Wiseman, the actress has reportedly reached out to former flame Ben Affleck for comfort.
“She’s turned to him for support as a friend because they’ve stayed in touch during her difficult time," a source close to the 42-year old actress revealed to The Sun.
Rumors that Kate and the 43-year-old Argo star were romantically linked first began swirling in 2001 after the duo costarred together in the war film, Pearl Harbor. An insider confessed the “spark” remains between them after all these years.

“Kate used to be madly in love with Ben. He would make her giddy with excitement any time they were in the same room," the source added.

The insider further suggested Kate and Ben—who similarly ended his 10-year marriage to Jennifer Garner in June—are made for one another, and should give their relationship a chance.
