Donny Osmond Receives Peacock Trophy From Adorable Young Fan After Placing 2nd on ‘The Masked Singer’
He’s a winner after all! A little while back, Donny Osmond was revealed to be the peacock on the very popular singing competition, The Masked Singer. But while the performer came in second place, he did receive a trophy thanks to a young fan.
The singer, 61, took to Instagram on Tuesday, May 14, to share a little tidbit about a young boy who was so bummed about Donny not taking home the top prize on the Fox show, that he made his very own trophy just for the Dancing with the Stars alum.
“This is my new friend Seth. A few months ago, Seth’s mom posted about the trophy that Seth and his sister, Macie, made for #ThePeacock after the @maskedsingerfox finale,” Donny wrote on the social media platform alongside photos of he and his new pal. “Seth was very distraught when he realized that the Peacock didn’t take 1st place and wouldn’t receive a trophy.”

The former teen idol continued, “This weekend Seth and his family were my VIP guests at our Vegas show. They came to visit me backstage before the show and gave me their awesome peacock trophy. I have to say, receiving this homemade trophy from such a sincere guy like Seth was a huge highlight for me.” “Thank you for cheering me on and making me feel like a million bucks, Seth,” he added.
“Donny, you are so sweet. It makes such a difference in a person when they come from and have such a loving family,” one fan wrote in the comments section. “You are such a stand up guy. My favorite since I was a child. Truly special,” another person added.

The dancer had to keep his identity tight-lipped during the competition, but he did spill the beans to someone quite close to him: his sister, Marie Osmond.
“I was doing Las Vegas every night while I was doing The Masked Singer and I had to tell Marie, because there were a couple shows where I almost missed the Vegas show,” the “I’ll Make a Man Out of You” singer revealed on The Talk during a guest appearance on March 1. “I had to tell her why … I said, ‘You can’t say a word.’”
Donny may not have won the show, but it is pretty clear he is a winner in a lot of fans’ hearts — including ours!
