Paul McCartney is finally putting a decades-old feud to rest — and doing it in style.
The 83-year-old rock icon recently performed at Apple’s 50th anniversary celebration in California, per the Daily Mail in a Thursday, April 2 report, marking a full-circle moment after years of legal battles between the tech giant and The Beatles’ company, Apple Corps.
The feud dates back to 1968, when The Beatles launched Apple Corps as their multimedia company. Trouble began when Apple Inc. — co-founded by Steve Jobs — rose to prominence using the same name and a similar logo.

Over the years, per the outlet, Apple Corps sued the tech company multiple times, arguing it violated agreements not to enter the music space. Tensions escalated in the early 2000s with the launch of iTunes and the iPod, bringing Apple directly into the music business.
The dispute was finally settled in 2007, and by 2010, The Beatles’ catalog was available on iTunes — signaling a truce.

Now, McCartney’s performance at Apple’s milestone event suggests the once-bitter rivalry is firmly in the past.
The music legend, who recently teased a new album, The Boys of Dungeon Lane, treated guests including Taylor Swift, Reese Witherspoon and Al Pacino to classic hits like “Help!,” “Get Back” and “Lady Madonna,” according to the outlet.
