Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles Give a Big Hint About Meghan Markle’s Due Date

Did Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, just hint at Meghan Markle‘s due date? It sure seems like it! On Monday, April 15, Charles and Camilla announced that they’ll be departing on a four-day royal tour beginning on Tuesday, May 7, in Germany, and since they’re expected to be nearby when Meghan gives girth in late April or early May, chances are, she and Prince Harry will welcome their baby before they leave London.

Using their joint Instagram account, Charles, 70, and Camilla, 71, announced their upcoming trip. “Their Royal Highnesses’ visit is at the request of the British Government and will celebrate the UK-Germany relationship and its enduring importance to both countries,” a statement posted to @clarencehouse read. “The Prince and The Duchess will visit Berlin, Leipzig and Munich during the four-day tour. Their Royal Highnesses last visited Germany together in 2009.”

After Camilla recently told a royal fan that she’s “very much” excited about Harry and Meghan’s new baby, she may not want to miss baby Sussex’s birth for anything in the world. Like Camilla, Charles has also expressed his excitement about having another baby in the royal family.

“It is a great joy to have another grandchild,” the duke said in a statement shortly after he found out Meghan was expecting. “The only trouble is I don’t know how I am going to keep up with them,” he joked. In fact, Prince Charles believes that his son and Meghan may give their child a modern name.

“Just between us … just between us,” he joked while previously speaking at Australia House in London. “I suspect that Kylie and Shane may possibly make the short list. But ladies and gentlemen I would not hold your breath for Edna or Les.” Meghan and Harry might even pay tribute to Princess Diana and name their royal baby after her!
