Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Move Into Frogmore Cottage Ahead of the Birth of Their Baby

It’s finally happened! On Wednesday, April 3, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle packed up all of their stuff from Kensington Palace and moved into Frogmore Cottage. 

“The trucks finished delivering the final furniture and home items on Monday, and [Wednesday] was their first night in the cottage,” a source recently shared to Us Weekly. “The cottage is much more private, and they wanted that for the arrival of the baby.”

Now that they don’t live in Kensington Palace anymore, Harry and Meghan can no longer say that Kate Middleton and Prince William are their neighbors. However, they can tell their friends that they have a great home to raise little baby Sussex in.

“Harry and Meghan are very happy with how the cottage turned out. They are looking forward to really starting their lives together on their own,” the insider revealed. “Now everything is all set up and perfect.”

Looks like the next big step for the royal couple is to finally welcome their baby in late April. And once their child arrives, they can play with Prince George, 5, Princess Charlotte, 3, and Prince Louis, 11 months, at the cottage anytime they want. “It’s set in a delightful location, safe and secure — away from prying eyes — and lots of space to bring up a family,” royals expert Dickie Arbiter previously said via Twitter.

Apparently, Harry has made sure that Frogmore Cottage will be to his family’s liking by spending $66,000 to soundproof their new home. Since the entire building is set on the grounds of Windsor Castle, around 14 flights pass within a mile of their house every half hour.

“You do get used to it, but sometimes it’s an awful racket,” Windsor resident Karen Shawcroft recently told The Mirror. “A few people have been round to quote for that type of soundproofing, but it’s a great upheaval and is a lot of money.” Congrats, Harry and Meghan!
