Scott Baio is remembering Jennifer Runyon following her death on Friday, March 6, at the age of 65 years old.
The Happy Days alum, 65, took to Instagram on Sunday, March 8, sharing a heartfelt tribute to the Ghostbusters actress.
“I had the extreme pleasure of working with Jennifer Runyon on Charles In Charge. She was a sweet, kind, and generous actress to work with,” Baio captioned a photo of the pair on a red carpet with fellow costars Josie Davis and Willie Aames. “Jennifer played my longtime girlfriend on Charles In Charge, however, she was also a wonderful mother and wife.”
“We last saw each other at The Hollywood Christmas Parade in late 2019,” Baio continued. “I’m sending my deepest condolences, prayers, and sympathy to her family during this difficult time. God bless her and her family. 🙏.”

Meanwhile, Davis, 53, who portrayed Sarah Powell on the show from 1987 to 1990, per IMDb, wrote a lengthy comment expressing her sadness.
“When people sent me the message Jennifer passed away couldn’t believe my eyes. Why always the sweetest people??” David questioned. “We were all at the Christmas parade not that long ago! This is just shocking and heartbreaking for this sudden news.”

Runyon starred as Gwendolyn Pierce in the hit sitcom’s first season, which aired on CBS in 1984, according to her IMDb.
On Sunday, March 8, TMZ reported Runyon died, sharing a statement the family posted on Facebook.
“This past Friday night our beloved Jennifer passed away. It was a long and arduous journey that ended with her surrounded by her family,” the statement read. “She will always be remembered for her love of life and her devotion to her family and friends. I know from above she’s looking down on all of us with her beautiful smile. Rest in peace our Jenn.”
