The Bold and the Beautiful’s Spencer clan is about to welcome back one of its prodigal members when Darin Brooks makes his return to the CBS soap as Wyatt Spencer, a role he played from 2013 to early 2024. Fans were stunned at the end of the May 22, 2026, episode when next week’s preview revealed Wyatt putting in an appearance.
The Bold and the Beautiful Welcomes Back Wyatt
In 2023, Brooks announced that he had been dropped from contract status after 10 years. He made a brief appearance on the show in January of 2024, so Wyatt could tell his father he was leaving Los Angeles and that was the last we’d heard from the character. According to the Friday preview, Wyatt is in the Spencer Publications office with Liam (Scott Clifton) and Bill (Don Diamont) when Denise Richards‘ Shauna walks in and surprises them all.
Wyatt and Shauna have a connection through Flo, Wyatt’s ex and Shauna’s daughter, but there is no word on whether Bold and the Beautiful is bringing back Katrina Bowden‘s Flo, as well.
As soon as the preview for the coming week aired, fans took to social media to show their delight in this big surprise. The Spencer family has felt incomplete without Wyatt and he’s been badly needed on the canvas.
“How I’m heading into the weekend knowing Wyatt and Katie will be in the same building next week,” one fan said on X, referencing when Wyatt had a romance with his father’s ex-wife, who is also his current wife once again.
Another fan is hoping that both Wyatt and Shauna scramble some established couples: “I want Shauna/Ridge to hook up, and I hope Wyatt/Hope have an affair. We need some mess on this show.”
One Reddit user thinks Wyatt’s return will make the show worth watching again, saying, “Hey, I might actually start watching again if Wyatt’s back. I’ve been refusing to watch until I see Hope finally just leave Forrester and sign on to Logan … I’ll watch now just for the Liam-Wyatt-Bill banter.”
Whether Wyatt is back for a handful of episodes of a long-term story remains to be seen, but either way, fans can’t wait to see the Spencer men together again. This time, Brooks can even share scenes with Wyatt’s brother, Will (Crew Morrow), who was only a small child in 2024, but through the magic of soaps, is now a grown man.
