Alec Baldwin and Wife Hilaria Are a Match Made in Heaven! See the Couple’s Marriage Timeline

Alec Baldwin and wife Hilaria Baldwin‘s marriage is straight out of a movie script. The longtime lovebirds have experienced plenty of ups and downs together, but a timeline of their romantic relationship proves the struggles made their bond stronger and stronger.

The Beetlejuice star and the yoga instructor first crossed paths during a chance encounter at an NYC restaurant in 2011. After exchanging information, the two set up a date and their whirlwind love story quickly kicked off.

By April 2012, Alec and Hilaria were engaged, and just months later in June, the couple tied the knot. Prior to meeting and falling in love with the actress, Alec was married to his first wife, Kim Basinger, from 1993 to 2002. The former couple welcomed the Saturday Night Live star’s eldest child, daughter Ireland Baldwin, in 1995.

Alec and Hilaria added to the proud dad’s brood when they welcomed their first child together, daughter Carmen, in 2013. Their eldest son, Rafael, arrived in 2015, followed by Leonardo in 2016, Romeo in 2018 and Eduardo Pau Lucas in 2020. The lovebirds then secretly welcomed baby No. 6 just six months later in March 2021.

The 30 Rock alum is one of the most beloved actors in Hollywood, but Hilaria argued he’s an even better father and husband. While chatting with Closer Weekly in March 2020, the Living Clearly Method author revealed her favorite thing about Alec.

“He’s my No. 1 fan in all things that I do,” she gushed. “Can both of us be pains? 100 percent. But there’s always support for each other, and I think that’s one of the things that hold us together.”

The doting mom of six — who suffered two miscarriages throughout 2019 — credited the challenges they faced for making their bond unbreakable.

“We became parents. We dealt with the regular ups and downs of marriage and we got stronger,” she marveled to Closer. “Either you grow apart or you get stronger, and I think we’ve definitely gotten stronger with it — I don’t know … we’re so different. I was 27 when I met him, and I’m 36 now. So, I grew up a little bit.”
