After nearly 40 years in the spotlight, Bo Derek knows a thing or two about aging in Hollywood — and admits growing older in the public eye is "really hard."
"I realize how artificial [beauty] is. I realize that it doesn't last forever, that's for damn sure," the 58-year-old actress confessed in a new interview. "Aging is really hard, and it's tough. Bette Davis was right; it's not for sissies, it really isn't."

Throughout her career, Bo — who first rose to fame at age 23 in the 1979 film 10 — has adamantly claimed she has not undergone plastic surgery to alter her appearance, despite continuing to maintain her youthful looks as she ages.

"There is a certain expectation [to look young]. I get credit on one hand for not having had a facelift, and then on the other hand it's, 'Oh my God, why doesn't she do something?' So you're just torn. I just have to keep busy, have other interests, and try not to think about it," she said.

Bo has been dating her boyfriend, actor John Corbett, since 2002.
In March, it was announced the actress would return to TV with a role in the upcoming television movie Sharknado 3 alongside Tara Reid, Ian Ziering, Mark Cuban, Jerry Springer and Ann Coulter.
"I love the business, I love the film business. And it's always been good to me," she told CBS News of filming the movie on Sunday, May 10.
