‘Dancing With the Stars’ Fans Have Two Big Season 35 Announcements Coming
The ‘Dancing with the Stars’ Season 35 cast and partnership announcement is on the horizon.
After months of waiting and weeks of eagerly anticipating specifics, it is almost time for Dancing with the Stars to officially announce the Season 35 cast and partnerships.
DWTS plans to share announcements with fans on two different days in the coming week, according to the latest Good Morning America schedule. For the biggest reveals, fans will need to tune in for the episode of GMA airing on Wednesday, September 2.
The ‘Dancing with the Stars’ Judges and Hosts Will Be Confirmed on Tuesday
According to ABC, the Season 35 Dancing with the Stars judges and hosts will be revealed during the Tuesday, September 1 episode of GMA. So far, there hasn’t been any indication that the judges and hosts for Season 35 will have any changes.
Interestingly, however, a report from The U.S. Sun indicates that Shirley Ballas will join Dancing with the Stars as a judge in Season 35. If that were to be the case, she would travel back and forth as Len Goodman did, judging both Dancing with the Stars and Strictly Come Dancing.
An insider told the media outlet, “The American audience love having a no-nonsense Brit on the panel, after all the UK is the home of ballroom…She’d very much be following in [Goodman’s] footsteps, but producers are also convinced she’d make the role her own.
Fans are already quite familiar with Ballas, so adding her as a judge wouldn’t come completely out of left field. She’s an internationally renowned ballroom dancer on her own, and she is also the mother of fan favorite pro Mark Ballas. In addition, she’s been one of the judges on Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro, which fans have enjoyed.
There may not be anything to this rumor, though, as none of the usual Dancing with the Stars insiders sharing spoilers for Season 35 have mentioned this.
The Season 35 ‘DWTS’ Cast Announcement Comes on Wednesday
The bigger announcement that fans are eagerly counting down to is the cast announcement, which comes on September 2. It seems that the full celebrity cast will be announced, as well as the pro-celebrity partnerships. So far, the only contestants and pros that the show has formally revealed are Witney Carson and Sharna Burgess as pros, and Guillermo Rodriguez, Jackson Olson, Maura Higgins, and Ciara Miller as contestants.
Although many Dancing with the Stars fans think they’ve figured out much of the cast and some of the partnerships, only a handful have been officially announced yet. Finally, on Wednesday, the stage will officially be set for Season 35, and fans cannot wait.
