Brooke Shields Reveals How She’s Survived 50 Years of Fame
On Jan. 8, all eyes were on Brooke Shields as the stunning 50-year-old made her way down the red carpet at the historic Tournament House mansion in Pasadena, Calif.
The actress radiated warmth and happiness while chatting about her latest TV movie, Hallmark Channel’s Flower Shop Mystery: Mum’s the Word. “It’s fun and funny,” Brooke told Closer of the light-hearted caper. “My kids love it, too. I think it’s a gift to be able to sit and watch something with your family.”

It’s no wonder Brooke feels grateful. After all, her idyllic life — she’s been wed to producer Chris Henchy, 51, since 2001, and they share daughters Rowan, 12, and Grier, 9, together — could have turned out very differently.

The NYC native has spent her entire life in the spotlight (Brooke landed her first modeling gig before she even turned 1!) and has faced a slew of highs and lows. But the actress managed to defy the odds so many child stars face.
"Brooke is very un-Hollywood," an insider tells Closer. "She and Chris have a great relationship. Their kids come first and they do all the things normal families do."
