Cindy Crawford And Rande Gerber Reportedly Pay Off Layaway Bills For Christmas Shoppers At Walmart

How sweet is this?! Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber reportedly surprised Christmas shoppers by recently paying off layaway bills at a California Walmart. According to Page Six, the 52-year-old supermodel and her husband, 56, paid off all the remaining layaway bills at the Compton, CA store and were “inspired by Kid Rock and Tyler Perry’s generosity” earlier this month.

On Dec. 8, it was revealed that Kid Rock, 47, paid off layaway bills for 350 customers at a Nashville Walmart one day after Tyler Perry spent $430,000 of his own money to ensure shoppers could afford their Christmas gifts at two different Walmart stores this year. “I was trying to do this anonymously but oh well!!!” Tyler, 49, wrote on Twitter. “I know it’s hard times, everyone’s struggling and I’m just really, really grateful to be able to be in a position to do this. So, God bless you, go get your stuff. Merry Christmas!”

LeMia Jenkins, the director of national media relations for Walmart, had this to say in response to Tyler’s gesture: “Tyler Perry’s generous donation is making an unbelievable difference for so many families, and we can’t thank him enough for his kindness. The heartfelt excitement and joy we’re seeing from our customers as a result of his holiday gift has been touching.”

Inspired by Tyler, Kid Rock similarly announced on Twitter, “@tylerperry Great idea! I followed your lead and paid off the layaway at my local Walmart in Nashville.
